The French Link has been owned and operated by Eva G. Fireman since 1994. Based in South Florida since 1989, Eva was born and educated in Paris. For five years she interpreted at UN headquarters in New York City, where she honed her English/French interpretation skills. She interpreted and translated for technical consultants and foreign delegations from Francophone countries in Africa, Europe, and Canadian Quebec nationals. Her Over the Phone (OPI) background working for industry leader Language Line Services attest to her listening skills in such stressful situations as 911 first responder and Home Land Security calls.
Mrs. Fireman has US. Security Clearance with the US Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), the Social Security Administration (SSA) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Her many trainings and certifications over the years include:

- Finance Interpretation
- Insurance Interpretation Certificate
- Computer Terminology Certificate
- Fraud Waste and Abuse (FWA) in compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
She has contributed to the establishment of the French Medical Test and tested medical interpreters for Language Line Services.
On the interpersonal level, when the French speaker is accompanied to a physician, therapy or hospital outpatient appointment by a bi-lingual interpreter, who understands the complicated American medical system and knows medical terminology the relationship between the patient and the provider is enhanced.
She is locally well known by numerous South Florida attorneys as a precise and conscientious legal translator and interpreter. Her specific expertise is consecutive interpretation during trial, rulings in judges’ chambers, depositions, mediations and arbitrations in attorney offices, discovery interviews in personal injury investigations (also serving the insurance agency community) and translation of all types of legal documents.
